George Schoulthies of California, KY was taken prisoner on January 11th, 1950.

He became a prisoner of the “Tiger”, a North Korean Army Major.

The Tiger started with a prisoner of war count of more than 700 men.  In 1953, only 262 of these men were returned alive.

A PFC from Lima, OH kept written records of all the men who died under these conditions and published the list, which became known as the “Tiger Survivors“.

George Schoulthies died on November 30th 1950.
